We will continue our mask mandate indoors,<\/strong> since most of the classrooms in Beth Chaim are not big enough to maintain social distance. Individuals who test positive for COVID-19, after remaining in isolation for at least 5 full days after the onset of symptoms, may return to school if they are fever-free (without the use of fever-reducing medication) and their symptoms are resolving. We will also continue the temperature check at the front entrance as a preventive measure.<\/p>\n PCLS<\/span> will not be hosting summer camp this year due to lack of resources.<\/p>\n Writing contest will be held on April 3, 2022. It\u2019ll take place during the first 30 minutes of the first language class, so please arrive at school on time. No registration needed. All students will participate. More information about the contest can be found in the Traditional Class Word Recognition Contest flier<\/a> and CSL Class Word Recognition Contest flier<\/a>.<\/p>\n 5\/8\/2022: \u770b\u5716\u8aaa\u6545\u4e8b\u6bd4\u8cfd Storytelling Competition<\/p>\n The culture class open house will take place on 4\/24\/2022.\u00a0 This is a great opportunity for students to try a different culture class and the experience might help them in deciding what they would like to take during the 2022-2023 school year.\u00a0 Please sign up using this Google form<\/a> by 04\/08\/2022.<\/p>\n PCLS<\/span> is delighted to announce that in the 2022-2023 school year, we will be offering a Lion Dance class, taught by one of our own PCLS<\/span> parents!!\u00a0 The class will start with physical conditioning to warm up and build strength & stamina, then students will have the opportunity to learn about the culture aspects and moves of lion dance.\u00a0 If you are interested, be sure to sign up for it in the Culture Open House registration Google Form.<\/p>\n We would like to encourage parents to join too – it will be a great chance to exercise and have fun with your kids!\u00a0 Priority for registration in the 2022-2023 school year will be given to the students.\u00a0 If there are additional spaces left, parents are welcome to join the class, either as one of the dancers, or as volunteer helpers.<\/p>\n Fun Day will return this year on 5\/22\/2022 at Rosedale Park. To assist us with planning, please kindly take a moment to complete this Google Form<\/a>. There will be food, Taiwanese night market games, karaoke and field games.\u00a0 Mark your calendar, come out and have fun with other PCLS<\/span> families! You don\u2019t want to miss this!!<\/p>\n This event is limited to PCLS<\/span> students\/parents\/grandparents, teachers and TAs.\u00a0 Extended families are excluded.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Each student, teacher, TA and admin will receive a set number of tickets, which can be used to exchange for food or Taiwanese night market games.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Extra tickets may be purchased on that day of the event.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n A Sign up Genius Form will be released in mid-April for attendees to sign up for food\/drink to bring.\u00a0 You will get extra tickets for bringing food to share.\u00a0 The number of tickets received will vary depending on the item type.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n The ANJCS Chinese Calligraphy Contest will take place at 1:30PM on Sunday 4\/24\/2022 in Bergen Chinese School (Tenafly High School, 19 Columbus Drive, Tenafly, NJ 07670).
