Newly registered families<\/p>\n

Welcome!! – Refer to our website for our school calendar for events this year (PDF file available for download).<\/p>\n

Enter the building through the Main Entrance (see attached map). Other doors are locked for security purposes. Maps & classroom listing will be posted near the main entrance. A copy is also attached in this email for your reference. If you need assistance with direction, please look for our helpers with PCLS t-shirt \/ orange vest or badge.<\/p>\n

If your child is new or on the younger side, please stay on campus during the first few weeks to make sure he\/she knows how to get to the language\/culture classes.<\/p>\n

Cindy (Academic Director), Sophia (Culture Director) and myself will be at the Admin Table area. Please stop by to say hi! If you have any questions, we are here to help.<\/p>\n

Reserved Parking for Teachers<\/p>\n

Parents – please save the parking spots in the closest 2 rows to the building (see the yellow lines on the attached map) for teachers. Our teachers have a lot of class material to carry every week. Please use \u201cparents parking\u201d instead. Thank you in advance for your understanding & cooperation.<\/p>\n

PDS Facility Protocols<\/p>\n

No eating inside the building except for younger kids during recess. Younger kids are allowed to eat at the cafeteria during recess time.<\/p>\n

Absolutely no eating inside the classrooms.<\/p>\n

Self-screening for COVID and cold symptoms. If you are not well, stay home.<\/p>\n

PCLS Student Guidelines<\/p>\n

PCLS strive to build a supportive, nurturing and safe learning environment. It is the responsibility of the parents to review the Student Code of Conduct with your child(ren) and make sure they understand the behavioral expectations.<\/p>\n

NO LANGUAGE OR ACTS OF VIOLENCE will be tolerated.<\/p>\n

No cell phone usage allowed in class. Upon the 3rd warning from the teacher, the phone will be taken away and given back at the end of class.<\/p>\n

Registration & Check Deposit<\/p>\n

If you have registered your child(ren) online but have not paid the tuition, please bring a check on to school and give it to registration staff at the admin tables. You do not need to mail the check at this point.<\/p>\n

Message from Academic Director<\/strong><\/p>\n

Textbooks will only be distributed to registered and paid students. If you haven\u2019t paid the tuition, please bring in your check (NO cash please as we can\u2019t track it) this Sunday. You\u2019ll receive the textbooks once tuition is paid.<\/p>\n

Language Class Changes<\/p>\n

Every student has ONE chance to change language class during the 2nd and 3rd week. After 9\/22, NO change to the language class is allowed. If you have any questions regarding the class placement, please reach out to me at academic@pcls.org.<\/p>\n

Trial Class<\/p>\n

We offer trial classes on 9\/8, 9\/15 and 9\/22. If your friends are interested in joining our school and would like to sign up for a trial class, please sign up before they come.<\/p>\n

Message from Culture Director<\/strong><\/p>\n

Culture Class Changes<\/p>\n

This Sunday (9\/15), please attend the culture class listed in your confirmation email. After the 2nd class, if your child(ren) wishes to change his\/her culture class, please complete the change request form by Friday 9\/20\/2024. You\u2019ll receive an email confirmation. Please note this is the ONLY chance in the year to switch culture classes.<\/p>\n

Chinese children\u2019s book fair \u4e2d\u6587\u7ae5\u66f8\u4ea4\u63db\u7fa9\u8ce3<\/p>\n

Collection will take place this Sunday 9\/15 and 9\/22. \u5bb6\u88e1\u6709\u5343\u91cc\u8fe2\u8fe2\u5f9e\u53f0\u7063\u642c\u56de\u4f86 , \u4f46\u5b69\u5b50\u5df2\u7d93\u4e0d\u518d\u770b\u7684\u4e2d\u6587\u7ae5\u66f8\u55ce? \u653e\u5728\u66f8\u67b6\u4e0a\u5360\u4f4d\u5b50, \u4f46\u662f\u8981\u4e1f\u6389\u537b\u4e5f\u6368\u4e0d\u5f97? \u6b61\u8fce\u5e36\u4f86\u9020\u798f\u5176\u4ed6\u5b78\u6821\u7684\u5bb6\u9577\u548c\u5b69\u5b50! \u4e5f\u6b61\u8fce\u53bb\u5e74\u5df2\u53c3\u52a0\u904e\u7684\u5bb6\u9577\u628a\u770b\u5b8c\u7684\u66f8\u5e36\u4f86\u63db\u65b0\u66f8. Class Waivers<\/p>\n

Students in the following classes are required to sign a waiver:<\/p>\n

PTA Update<\/strong><\/p>\n

Parent volunteers are needed<\/p>\n

Parent participation and involvement are essential to the success of the school\u2019s operation and events. Please sign up for required parent duties if you have not done so. If you are able to spare more time to our community, we would be very thankful. There are currently over 35 parent duty slots still available for sign up!<\/p>\n

Deposit refund requirement<\/p>\n

Please note that only after the parent duties are fulfilled will the deposit be refunded. Detailed parent duty instructions and information can be found in the PCLS Parent Duty Guidelines. Please make sure to sign in at the event\/duty to log the completion of your duty. Also, if any events\/parent duty signups are canceled\/moved, it is the family\u2019s responsibility to sign up for another parent duty or the rescheduled time to fulfill the requirement in order to receive the deposit.To check your parent duty sign ups, please click this SignupGenius link.<\/p>\n
