To ensure everyone stays safe and warm, we have adjusted our schedule as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Language class, including Taiwanese class: Moving to a virtual format. Please check your email for the link from your language teacher<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Culture class: Canceled<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Adult activities: Canceled<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Dragon and lion dance practice: Canceled<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">We apologize for any inconvenience. Please stay safe and warm.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Lunar New Year Celebration Schedule Adjustment<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Dear families,<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">After taking a close look at our calendar, the coming winter forecast, and the snow days we\u2019ve already shared this season, we\u2019ve decided to move our Lunar New Year celebration to <span dir=\"ltr\">Sunday, March 8th.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This wasn&#8217;t an easy choice because we know how much excitement there is for this event! However, we want to make sure the celebration is as wonderful as possible for our students and families. Moving the date helps us navigate a few things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Holiday Travel (<span dir=\"ltr\">Feb 15th<\/span>): Since this is the President\u2019s Day long weekend, many of our families have planned vacations. We want to make sure our performers have a full audience and that no one has to miss the fun because they are out of town.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Practice Momentum (<span dir=\"ltr\">Feb 22nd<\/span> &amp; <span dir=\"ltr\">March 1st<\/span>): Having the celebration immediately after the February break is difficult because we lose our rehearsal momentum. Furthermore, holding it <span dir=\"ltr\">on March 1st<\/span> would require a dress rehearsal <span dir=\"ltr\">on Feb 22nd<\/span>, a day when many families are still traveling.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Preparation &amp; Safety: Moving to <span dir=\"ltr\">March 8th<\/span> gives us three solid weeks of practice (2\/1, 2\/8, and <span dir=\"ltr\">2\/22<\/span>) plus a final dress rehearsal <span dir=\"ltr\">on 3\/1<\/span>. It also allows us to plan with certainty rather than rushing a last-minute rescheduling due to the winter storms we&#8217;ve been seeing.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">We know <span dir=\"ltr\">March 8th<\/span> feels a bit late for a Lunar New Year event, but this is the most practical choice to ensure a full house and a fantastic show.
