Last Sunday, we distributed\u00a0PCLS 2018-2019 Directory<\/strong>\u00a0to our families and teachers.\u00a0 If your child was absent last week, please ask his\/her language teacher or stop by the cafeteria to get the directory.\u00a0\u00a0Each family should receive only ONE directory.<\/p>\n We are gearing up for preparations for Chinese New Year! We would greatly appreciate donations (value of $20 and above) of\u00a0Raffle Prizes<\/strong>\u00a0for the raffle during our New year’s festivities.\u00a0 All the donations go to our raffle which helps as a fundraiser for the school. Please drop off the items to either\u00a0Sylvia<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0Sophia<\/strong>\u00a0in the cafeteria until 1\/13\/2019.\u00a0\u00a0We will also provide\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/u>donation receipt<\/strong>\u00a0for your tax filing purpose<\/em><\/u>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Messages from the Academic Director, Molly Yang:<\/u><\/b> The speech contests<\/em><\/strong> part 2\u00a0will be held on\u00a012\/9 for contestants in group 1 (PreK, CSLK, K),\u00a0group 2 (CSL1-3),\u00a0group 3 (T1-2),\u00a0and group 4 (CSL4-5).\u00a0The competition starts at\u00a012:50 pm\u00a0in the Main level\u00a0McAneny Theater<\/strong>\u00a0(DIFFERENT location from last week).\u00a0 Due to the large number of participants, we have two Check in time:<\/p>\n The check in time for participants\u00a0(T1-T2, CSL1-CSL5)<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0are\u00a012:40 pm<\/u>\u00a0and the contest will start at 12:50 pm.<\/p>\n The check in time for participants (PreK, K<\/u><\/strong>) are\u00a01:50 pm<\/u>\u00a0and the contest will start at 2:10 pm. The group photo will take place at 2:00 pm before the contest starts.<\/p>\n If your kid(s) enrolled but didn’t receive the reminder email, please email\u00a0academic@pcls.org<\/a>\u00a0as soon as possible.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Messages from the Culture Director, Ya-ping Su:<\/u><\/strong> PCLS is proud to announce that our first YoYo competition will take place on March 3, 2019 from 4:20-5:40pm in the Large Gym. All PCLS students and alumni are welcome to participate in this competition. Competition will include two types: individual (high school, 9th<\/sup>-12th<\/sup>\u00a0graders, middle school, 6th<\/sup>\u00a0to 8th<\/sup>, and elementary, 1st<\/sup>\u00a0to 5th<\/sup>) and double (1st\u00a0<\/sup>through 12th<\/sup>\u00a0graders). Registration will be available in January 2019!<\/p>\n Mark your calendar! Chinese New Year Celebration will take place on\u00a0February 3, 2019<\/strong>\u00a0at Montgomery High school from 2-5 pm.
