Once we return in January, we will just have 4 weeks to rehearse for our Chinese New Year Celebration which is\u00a02\/3\/2019\u00a0<\/strong>at\u00a0Montgomery High School<\/strong>.\u00a0 More details (the show, raffle ticket sales and prize, the dinner after the show, etc) will be announced in my\u00a0newsletter\u00a0in January.<\/p>\n We would greatly appreciate donations (value of $20 and above) of\u00a0Raffle Prizes<\/strong>\u00a0for the raffle during our New year’s festivities.\u00a0 All the donations go to our raffle which helps as a fundraiser for the school. It\u2019s made by soft plastic and comes with wooden sticks.<\/p>\n Each set (1 yo-yo, 1 pair of sticks with string) is sold for $12. \nThe seminar ”\u00a0Screens are hurting children’s eyesight –\u00a0<\/strong>How to Preserve Your Child\u2019s Vision<\/strong>” will take place at\u00a0Room 231 (3:00-4:15)<\/strong><\/u>\u00a0this Sunday.\u00a0These days there are more electronic screens in front of our children than ever before.\u00a0\u00a0The workshop will be given by optometrists and authors Dr. Ivan Lee and Dr. Noah Tannen.\u00a0 Learn the visual, and perhaps emotional, side effects of excessive electronic use and what to do about it. \u00a0The first 10 parents to attend the workshop will receive a copy of their latest book: <\/strong>A Parent\u2019s Guide to Raising Children with Healthy Vision<\/strong><\/i><\/p>\n
