Messages from the Academic Director

Performance Evaluation Standard

Learning Chinese is a long journey. We want to acknowledge all of the hard work students have been doing throughout the year, and encourage them to continue their great work. Thus, we made some changes to how awards are given this year.

  • Instead of giving “Outstanding Academic Award” to the top 3 students of each class, this award is given to the top 25 percentile of the students of each class.

  • Other awards are given to acknowledge students from different angles, not just doing well in the exams. For example, “Most Improved Award” is given to the students who have the greatest improvement from the beginning of the year to the end of the year, “Best Class Participation Award” is given to students who actively participated in the class discussion and activities, and many other awards.

We hope through all these positive reinforcement approaches, we can foster the enthusiasm of learning. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

We need you!!

We are actively recruiting!! If you’re interested in teaching Chinese, being a substitute Chinese teacher, or helping out with contests, please contact me (academic@pcls.org) for more information.

Messages from the Culture Director

Messages from the PTA

Parent Duty

Taking a moment to thank all the parents and helpers throughout this school year. It truly takes a village to support our community and appreciate all the efforts provided in temp checks/ringing the bell, supporting duties, contests, and other events.

Please contact PTA@pcls.org if you have any questions regarding parent duty sign up while registering for the new year. If registering in person, please speak to the registration helpers who can also assist. Please feel free to sign up for more than the required 2 parental duties as more helpers are needed to fill in any gaps.

Thank you all for your continued support of our community!
