Back-to-School meeting with Teachers
Our Back-to-School meetings will take place this Sunday at 2:30 PM in your child(ren)’s language classroom.
👉Parents – please drop off your child(ren) to the cafeteria before 2:30 PM, then head to the classroom for the meeting with their teacher. We kindly ask everyone to arrive on time so we can start promptly.
Arrival & Directions
Enter through the Main Entrance (map attached). Classroom maps will be posted inside, and helpers in PCLS shirts, orange vests, or badges will be available. If your child is new or younger, we recommend parents stay on campus the first few weeks to help them find their way.

Sophia Liu (Academic Director), Ya-ping Su (Culture Director), and I will be at the Admin Table—please stop by to say hello! We’re happy to answer any questions.
Parking
Please save the two rows closest to the building for teachers, who carry heavy materials each week. Parents should use the designated parking areas. Thank you for your cooperation.
Facility Protocols

No eating in classrooms. Younger children may eat in the cafeteria during recess.

Do not open or play with PDS lockers.

Self-screen for illness; please stay home if unwell.
Student Guidelines

Parents should review the Student Code of Conduct with their child(ren). PCLS is committed to a safe, supportive learning environment:

No cell phone use in class (phones may be collected after 3 warnings)
Payments
If you registered online but haven’t paid tuition, please bring a check (no cash) to the Admin Table.
Message from Academic Director
Textbooks will only be distributed to registered and paid students. If you haven’t paid the tuition, please bring in your check (NO cash please as we can’t track it) this Sunday. You’ll receive the textbooks once tuition is paid.
Language Class Changes (Last Week!!)
Every student has ONE chance to change language class during the 2nd and 3rd week. After 9/21, NO change to the language class is allowed. If you have any questions regarding the class placement, please reach out to me at academic@pcls.org.
Trial Class
We offer trial classes on 9/21, 9/28 & 10/12. If your friends are interested in joining our school and would like to sign up for a trial class, please sign up before they come.
Message from Culture Director
Culture Class Changes
If your child(ren) wishes to change his/her culture class, please discuss the change with the Culture Director prior to making any change and then, complete the change request form by Sunday, 9/21/2025. No change is allowed after 9/21/25.
Students in Taekwondo, YoYo, Dance and Basketball, and adults participating in Basketball, Badminton and Zumba are required to sign a WAIVER. Do it now if you have not done so already.
Class Material Fees
Students in Chinese Knotting 中國結, Chinese Brush Painting 國畫 and Craft STEM STEM工藝手作 are required to pay a $25 materials fee. This fee covers the materials students use in class during the entire school year. Students should bring a check for $25 (payable to PCLS) or cash by 9/21/2025 to their culture teacher to guarantee their spot in the class.

PTA Update
Please make sure you have signed up for required parent duties which is One Type A duty and One Type B duty for each family. If you are able to spare more time to our community, we would be very thankful. To check/modify your parent duty sign ups, please click this SignupGenius link. Note: this link will be closed after Sep 21st. After Sep 21st, please contact the PTA Lead for any changes.
Deposit refund requirement: Please note that only after the parent duties are fulfilled will the deposit be refunded. Detailed parent duty instructions and information can be found in the PCLS Parent Duty Guidelines. Please make sure to sign in at the event/duty to log the completion of your duty. If any events/parent duty signups are canceled/moved, it is the family’s responsibility to fulfill another parent duty in order to receive the deposit.
