Newsletter: Feb 18, 2022, Raffle Prize Pick up, Typing contest and Lots of Food Vendors – Order Now!

Thank you all for spending a fun and entertaining afternoon with us to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Here’s a press release highlighting our event.

Raffle Prizes pick up – Prizes will be available for pick up at Beth Chaim this Sunday, 2/20/2022 between 2:45 – 3:45PM. Please email culture@pcls.org if you are not going to be able to make it that day to arrange for an alternative pick-up day/location. If a prize is not picked up on 2/20 and no alternative arrangement is made in advance, the prize is considered forfeited.

Reminder: COVID-19 protocol

  1. Be sure to self-screen for symptoms prior to attending school in person

  2. Always wear a mask properly when indoors and at crowded places outdoors.

  3. Cooperate with the temperature checks at the entrance.

  4. Mask on properly at all times when in Beth Chaim

  5. Contact principal@pcls.org immediately if tested positive for COVID-19.

  6. Follow CDC guidelines on quarantine and isolation in this link here. Do not come to school if you have symptoms.

Chinese Typing Contest

Thank you to those who registered for the Chinese Typing Contest. You will receive an email from me with more details of the contest by this Sunday, 2/20. The contest will start at 12 pm on Saturday, 2/26 and close at 12 pm on Sunday, 2/27. You can access to the practice site from here: practice

Culture Class Open House

The culture class open house will take place on 4/24/2022.  This is a great opportunity for students to try a different culture class and the experience might help them in deciding what they would like to take during the 2022-2023 school year.  Google form for registration will be released in March.

PCLS YoYo Contest – Date Change

To give the students more time to practice, the YoYo contest will be moved to Sunday 5/1/2022.  Students will perform a 2-3 minutes routine he/she put together to music of your choice.  Contestants will be judged by age group on (1) Trick difficulty – 40 pts  (2) Artistry / creativity – 20 pts  (3) Fluency – 20 pts  (4) Performance format – 20 pts

Google form for registration will be released in April.  Please be prepared to submit an audio file of the music you would like to use.
