Fun Day – Taiwan Night Market 台灣夜市 May 22, 2022, noon to 4pm
Fun Day is finally here! This is the Sunday you don’t want to miss! There will be lots of Taiwanese food such as 肉圓, 油飯, 肉羹, 鹹酥雞, 肉燥飯, 炒米粉, 滷味, 茶葉蛋, 紅豆餅, bubble tea and lots lots more! There will also be Taiwanese night market games and karaoke!
Weather forcast for Sunday is 70 to 90 degrees sunny hot. Be sure to apply sunscreen, wear a hat/cap and perhaps bring extra clothes for kids in case they get soaking wet!
Location – Rosedale Park (424 Federal City Road, Pennington NJ 08534). Use this location pin which will take you to the parking lot and use the photo in this link as your guide to the overall layout of the picnic ground.

Label your container and utensil with your name beforehand

If the food you bring needs to be cut into individual serving size, please kindly do so beforehand

Arrive no later than 11:50AM.

Take a photo of the item(s) you bring at home. When you arrive, set your food down at the FOOD pavilion (see layout here).

Collect your ticket from the Ticket table. The photo will be matched with your sign-up on Sign Up Genius in order to receive the extra tickets. You will receive 6 extra tickets for each item you bring in the quantity specified for each item.

At the end of the event, please collect your container / utensils

Each student / teacher / TA / admin team member receives 4 tickets per person. If you have multiple roles (i.e. you are a student and a TA), the maximum number of tickets is still 4.

Additional tickets are sold at the following denominations. Please bring cash.

$20 for 25 tickets

Tickets may be used to exchange for food and TW night market games to win prizes

Most foods are 1 ticket per serving with the exception of 3 Taiwanese dishes. Fruit and drinks are free!

For Taiwanese foods, please take only 1 serving per person each time so the others have a chance to enjoy them too! You may line up again later for more.
Seating Area

There are tables and chairs under one of the pavilions. If you are not comfortable with eating without masks in the pavilion, please feel free to bring your own picnic blankets / chairs. There is a large field next to the pavilion that you can use.
Health & Safety Reminders

The weather will be HOT this Sunday. Please take necessary precautions, ie. wear sunscreen, hats and stay hydrated

Please keep your mask on when you get food

Remind your child(ren) to sanitize their hands regularly. Sanitizing wipes will be placed throughout the event venue

2022-2023 TA (Language & Culture) Application now OPEN!
Eligible applicants are students in the 9th grade or higher and at least 14 years old by August 31, 2022. Applications from family members of PCLS students and/or members of families who attended PCLS in the past will be considered; however, priority assignment will be given to the PCLS graduates and the 10th-grade students. Eligible candidates may register via this Google Form.

Parent Duty
Taking a moment to thank all the parents and helpers throughout this school year. It truly takes a village to support our community and appreciate all the efforts provided in temp checks/ringing the bell, supporting duties, contests, and other events.
Please contact PTA@pcls.org if you have any questions regarding parent duty sign up while registering for the new year. If registering in person, please speak to the registration helpers who can also assist. Please feel free to sign up for more than the required 2 parental duties as more helpers are needed to fill in any gaps.
