Fun Day
Our annual Fun Day last weekend was a huge success! A big THANK YOU to all the parent helpers, families who brought food to share and everyone who came out to participate. I hope you had lots of fun!
SY23-24 Registration – LAST WEEK TO GET EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT
SY23-24 registration is now OPEN! In-person registration will be available between 2:30-4:00 PM 6/4 in the admin table area. Please refer to the PCLS registration page for detailed information on the registration process. Don’t miss the opportunity to receive a $50 discount if you register by 6/4! Students need to be registered and paid in full before 6/4 to receive the discount.
SY23-24 Teaching Assistant (“TA”) Application
We are now acceptingTA application for the 2023-2024 school year. You must be 14 years old by 8/31/2023 to be eligible to apply. It’s a great way to give back to the community, share what you’ve learned at PCLS and also earn volunteer hours. Please click on this Google form for more information and to apply.
Parent Duty Refund
If you completed 2 parent duties this year, you are eligible for a full refund of your parent duty deposit. Refund checks can be picked up on the last day of school (6/4). More details will be announced in next week’s newsletter.
FASCA Volunteer Training

2023年僑務委員會「全球華語口說爭霸」開始報名
僑務委員會訂於 2023 年 6 月、9 月及 11 月舉辦「2023 年全球華 語口說爭霸賽」，提供全球僑校及臺灣華語文學習中心的學生在雲端 大展身手的機會！該比賽已連續舉辦三年，參加者眾且成效良好，今 年度總獎金更高、得獎名額更多！希望能藉此鼓勵海外僑校及臺灣華 語文學習中心學生持續精進華語口說能力，提升華語文學習樂趣。 僑委會表示，比賽分為僑校學生基礎組、僑校學生進階組及臺 灣華語文學習中心組等 3 組，凡是就讀於僑委會立案/備查僑校的在 學學生或臺灣華語文學習中心的學生均可參加。僑校學生基礎組的參賽年齡為 6 至 12 歲，僑校學生進階組的年齡為 13 至 18 歲，臺灣華 語文學習中心組則不限年齡均可參賽。 比賽內容取自本會《學華語向前走》及《來！學華語》等 2 項教 材，分為「跟讀」及「朗讀」2 種競賽項目，採個人積分賽，參賽者 可於比賽期間內不限次數上線參賽，比賽系統將自動採計參賽者最佳 成績進行排名；初賽（6 月或 9 月）成績排序前 200 名之參賽者得申 請核發數位參賽證書，完成任一場初賽並取得成績之參賽者即可進入 11 月的決賽！ 比賽簡章、比賽規則、各組獎學金金額及其他比賽相關說明請參 閱全球華文網「僑校學生比賽專區(https://pse.is/4vxzcs)」及 「TCML 學生比賽專區(https://pse.is/4w6nze)」，歡迎海外僑校及 臺灣華語文學習中心學生踴躍參加
