Class Schedule:
Taiwanese class: 1:45 – 2:30 PM (if registered)
Language class: 2:30 – 4:15 PM
Culture class: 4:20 – 5:00 PM

New! Personal Device Policy:
In alignment with New Jersey’s new bell-to-bell personal device policy, PCLS students may not use personal internet-enabled devices during school hours, including class time and recess.
We strongly encourage students to leave cell phones and other personal devices at home. If brought to school, devices must be turned off and kept away throughout the school day.
Teachers may provide a designated storage area for devices during class.
Payment:
If tuition is still outstanding, please pay via Zelle or bring a check to the Admin Table.
Students with outstanding tuition will not receive textbooks until payment is completed.
Tuition checks will be deposited within one week of receipt. Please ensure sufficient funds are available.
Parent duty refund checks must be deposited by 10/31/2026.

Message from Academic Director
Textbooks will only be distributed to registered and paid students. If you haven’t paid the tuition, please bring in your check (NO cash please as we can’t track it) this Sunday. You’ll receive the textbooks once tuition is paid.
Language Class Changes
Every student has ONE chance to change language class during the 2nd and 3rd week. After 9/27, NO change to the language class is allowed. If you have any questions regarding the class placement, please reach out to me at academic@pcls.org.
Trial Class
We offer trial classes on 9/20 and 9/27. If your friends are interested in joining our school and would like to sign up for a trial class, please sign up before they come.
Message from Culture Director
Culture Class Changes
If your child(ren) wishes to change his/her culture class, please discuss the change with the Culture Director prior to making any change and then, complete the change request form by Sunday, 9/27/2025. Note this is the ONLY chance in the year to switch culture classes.
Culture Class Waivers
Students in the following classes are required to sign a WAIVER:
Taekwondo
YoYo
Dance
Basketball
An email will also be sent to the students with a link to a Google form for electronic sign-off. Please take a moment to complete the waiver when you receive it.
Culture Class Material Fees
Students in Chinese Knotting 中國結, Chinese Brush Painting 國畫, Chinese Calligraphy 書法, and Craft STEM STEM工藝手作 are required to pay a $25 materials fee. This fee covers the materials students use in class during the entire school year. Students should bring a check for $25 (payable to PCLS) or cash by 9/27/2025 to their culture teacher, or Zelle (epay@pcls.org) to school. Please include your child’s name and culture class in the notes section of your Zelle payment.

PTA Update
Parent participation and involvement are essential to the success of the school’s operation and events. Please make sure you have signed up for required parent duties which are One Type A duty, One Type B duty, and One of the parent meetings for each family. If you are able to spare more time to our community, we would be very thankful. To check your parent duty sign ups, please click this SignupGenius link.
Deposit refund requirement: Please note that only after the parent duties are fulfilled will the deposit be refunded. Detailed parent duty instructions and information can be found in the PCLS Parent Duty Guidelines. Please make sure to sign in at the event/duty to log the completion of your duty. Also, if any events/parent duty signups are canceled/moved, it is the family’s responsibility to sign up for another parent duty or the rescheduled time to fulfill the requirement in order to receive the deposit.
Room Parent Volunteers: We would also love to hear from parents who are interested in volunteering as a Room Parent for the following classes:
T2, T4, T5, T6, CSL1, and CSL3
