Hope you have a great week. We are pleased to announce that we will have the Summer Camp Aug 19-23 at YingHua International School at Kingston You can pick up the form in the cafeteria.
PCLS Fun Day will take place on May 19 (12:30 – 4pm). Get your sneakers out and mark your calendar!
It’s going to be a super FUN afternoon packed with food, field activities (e.g., Tug of War, Potato sacks, basketball, Chinese YoYo and many more) and crafts (e.g, Chinese Knotting, face painting, temporary tattoos, and etc). Fun Day will take place at a brand new site Rosedale Park, located at 424 Federal City Rd, Pennington, NJ 08534.
Rosedale Park comprises 472 acres including a 38-acre lake stocked with trout. We reserved the group picnic area (fit 300 people) including two newly constructed pavilions equipped with 2 charcoal cooking grills, electricity, and running water. Adjacent to the 40 foot by 44-foot pavilion and 20 foot by 40-foot cook stand are Softball Field, Basketball Court, Volleyball Court, Children’s play area and walking trail along lake. This is an event you don’t want to miss!

Annual Culture Class open house will take place on April 14. This is a great opportunity for your child(ren) to try out other culture classes and pick their culture class selection for next school year.
We are currently planning culture class offerings for 2019-2020 school year and NEED YOUR HELP to enrich our culture classes. If you are interested in teaching any culture class, please email culture@pcls.org or stop by Admin area to discuss with us. If you can’t take the teaching position for the entire school year, but can offer some weeks or months, that would work too.

NOTE: The training camp dates are CHANGED to 6/22-6/23 Saturday and Sunday at Days Hotel on Rt. 18, East Brunswick. Class time is from 9am – 9pm. After successfully complete two days training, each NEW member will receive an 24-hour training certificate from TECO (Taipei Economic and Cultural Office).
Please read the rules and enter the link to apply. The application is linked to e-mail, so one e-mail for one applicant. Parents will follow the steps in the link to fill in the information and upload the student photo, insurance ID, school report card and/or supporting certificates. The student photo is limited to the size of 120 x 150 pixels (please reduce the photo size first then upload).
After we receive the electronic application from you, we will review and respond to you if you are accepted, and then we will provide the instruction to your for next step to mail forms and $120 check to TECO office (133-32 41st Road, Flushing, NY 11355, U.S.A.) attn: Michelle Pao.
2019年僑務委員會「海外青年志工培訓班」（FASCA）將在紐約及紐澤西地區展開培訓活動，此活動以「服務、文化、領導、傳承」為四大培訓主軸，分為研習培訓及全年持續性培力計畫，學員訓後可以加入福爾摩沙青年文化大使協會〈簡稱FASCA〉參與後續培力計畫，積極透過僑社活動的服務與學習，培育成為具有文化涵養與領導長才的華裔青年，若參訓學員服務時數累積超過100小時，將由相關單位協助申請「美國總統志工服務獎」，使未來升學之路更加寬廣。
歡迎14-18歲華裔青少年加入，一起學習成長，晉升華裔菁英行列！
隨附請見今年 FASCA NJ 培訓營的新學員申請規則及申請表電子連結。今年我們採用電子申請，學生家長進入連結在網上跟著步驟填完填表後，上傳學生照片、保險卡、高中成績單、獎狀等照片後發出去，我們就會收到您的申請。等待我們審核通過後，我們會發 email 通知家長下一步，把文件及支票郵寄給文教中心的鮑小姐。每一個學生申請要用一個email 地址，如果一家庭有兩個孩子同時申請，需要用兩個不同的 e-mail 地址。上傳學生的照片要先縮小到 120 x 150 pixels再上傳。
