PCLS Newsletter 3/10 – PDS book fair, Daylight Saving Time

Dear Parents/Guardians/Teachers:

Please remember to “spring forward” and move your clocks ahead one hour on Sunday morning for Daylight Saving Time.

Last Sunday, PCLS is proud to have hosted the ANJCS (新澤西州中文學校協會) Annual Chinese Chess Competition.  There are 31 contestants coming from 7 Chinese Schools and 4 PCLS students (out of 9 winners) won the top three.

PCLS’ Christopher Tai (戴天惠) won 2nd place in the oldest group.  Ian Hsu (許益睿) won 3rd place, Logan Rolleri (孫智成) won 2nd place, and Jeffery Yu (游杰樺) won 1st place in the youngest group. Congratulations to our PCLS winners!  The monetary rewards matched by PCLS will be given to the ANJCS contest winners either on 5/5 recognition day or 6/2 commencement.

This chess contest had started around 9:30 and ended after 2pm.  It’s a very long day for all the participants – Job well done to all PCLS contestants and thank you to everyone who helped the event!  Please see the World Journal news link for the event details.  www.worldjournal.com/6161395
