PCLS Newsletter 12/15

Dear Parents/Guardians/Teachers/TA:

Please note that this Sunday, 12/15 will be the last PCLS class of 2019.  We will NOT have class on 12/22 and 12/29, and will resume class on 1/5/2020.

Once we return in January, we will just have 4 weeks to rehearse for our Chinese New Year Celebration which is on 02/02/2020 at Montgomery High SchoolGuess what?  The year 2020 is also the 50th year anniversary of PCLS.  We will have special programs and activities on Feb 2nd.  Stay tuned!!

As we are gearing up for Chinese New Year preparations, we would greatly appreciate donations (value of $20 and above) of Raffle Prizes for our New year’s festivities.    All the donations go to our raffle which helps as a fundraiser for the school.   We will be accepting the donations starting this Sunday until 1/19/2020.  Please drop off the items to Sylvia in the cafeteria.  PCLS will provide donation receipt for your tax filing purpose.

Last week, we distributed Directory to the language class.  Each PCLS Family should have received only ONE directory.  If your family received more than one, please kindly return the extra one to your language teacher or to the principal.  If your family receive NONE, please see me in the cafeteria.

Messages from the Treasurer, Susan Lee

<Reminder 1>  When you shop for the holidays at smile.amazon.com/ch/22-3357519AmazonSmile donates to PCLS at no cost to you!  This is a great way to support our school operation.

<Reminder 2>  It’s the end of tax year 2019.  If your company has a match program for your money donation or volunteer hour, please consider Princeton Chinese Language School.  PCLS is a non-profit organization charging a very low tuition and operated by parents volunteers.  Therefore, fundraising and donation are really helpful for programs we run for your kids.  Tax receipt will be provided for your donation.

If you have any related questions, please contact Susan Lee at treasurer@pcls.org.
5 Food Vendors this week

* 12:30-3:30 Lee Orchard Garden is a family owned orchard located in Plainsboro. The owners are former PCLS parents.  They are coming again  to PCLS to sell Asian Pears on 12/15.  Please stop by the cafeteria to buy fresh Asian Pears – they are not only delicious, but also perfect for holiday gifts.  Mr. Lee will generously donate most of their proceeds back to PCLS.
