Weekly Newsletter: Happy 109th Birthday, Taiwan!

This Saturday, the tenth of October is Taiwan’s 109th birthday. Happy Birthday, Taiwan! It is a day when Taiwanese pride takes precedence over everything else, and Taiwanese people celebrate all over the world. There’s usually a parade or a gather but due to pandemic, only smaller group gatherings have been happening in New Jersey. Here is a link to the news report from 世界日報.

The Overseas Community Affairs Council, Taiwan has released a distance learning program for youth age 12 to 24 years old. 2020 Language Study Program will recruit a total of 880 students. Please use this Link(English version) for applications and further details.

Virtual Drawing Contest – Registration for the 2020-2021 “Year of Ox”  virtual drawing contest is still open! Students will complete their drawing on paper, independently at home and submit their art work using the Google Form link below.  Please read the guidelines and upload instructions carefully and adhere to them to expedite the scoring process.  Submit 1 entry per child.

Chinese New Year Celebration – Due to the pandemic, PCLS has decided to welcome the Year of the Ox in 2021 remotely. We cordially invite everyone to present your ‘Ox’* talent by sending photos or pre-recorded videos of PCLS classes and students in action. The T10 class and teachers will be leading the effort to put the celebration together.  Please stay tune for more details!!
