Weekly Newsletter: Oct 8, 2021, Virtual learning this Sunday

The rental search for an alternate site has yielded some possibilities. We are in the process of negotiating with a couple of promising sites (Mercer County Community College, South Brunswick High School). As a result, we will continue online learning this Sunday and hope to meet in-person next Sunday.

Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning 台灣華語文學習中心

Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML) is a global program with a regionally-focused curriculum. PCLS welcomes all 18+ adults in the area who are interested in learning Mandarin to join our class. No prior experience necessary. Through TCML, you will also get to explore future opportunities to study Mandarin in Taiwan, which offers a free and democratic environment. Culture Class Change Requests

Please hold off on requesting culture class changes until PCLS makes a final decision on virtual vs. in-person based on our facility search result.  At that time, a Google Form will be released for you to submit your request.

“Year of the Tiger” Virtual Drawing Contest

Get your crayons and paint brushes ready!  Registration for the “Year of Tiger”  virtual drawing contest will open soon. Students will complete their drawing on paper, independently at home and submit their scanned art work using a Google Form.  It’s a great way to earn extra coupons so mark your calendars for submission by 11/21/2021!

Material Fee

As a reminder, If your child is enrolled in a culture class that requires a material fee:

  • $20 for Chinese Knotting – please pay to the teacher at material pick up

Due to the uncertainty surrounding in-person or virtual learning this semester, the Class Parent Meeting has been postponed until further notice.

PTA team has downloaded parent sign-ups from Sign-up Genius and is busy preparing for upcoming competitions and will be contacting parents soon. Please do NOT change your sign ups.
