Weekly Newsletter: Nov 12, 2021, Parent meeting Saturday at 8pm, Picture day on Sunday

Hope you all had a great weekend off last week. Here’s important reminders for this week. Attached is the revised School calendar. Changes are noted in red.

  • Saturday, 11/13, 8pm: Parent Meeting via Zoom. The PCLS admin team will be reporting on our school operation and long term plans. You can find the zoom meeting link from the Pricipal’s newsletter email.

  • 11/14 Sunday:

    • Picture day for language class. Dress your child in a PCLS T-shirt to show school spirit!

    • PCLS T-shirt sale continues! Bring the exact CASH to pick up your order at the MEET place around 2:30pm on Sunday 11/14.

      • 1 T-Shirt – $12

      • 2 T-Shirts + 1 Free PCLS Magnet – $20

        • each additional t-shirt is $10

        • Large size Adult Black T-shirt is now available

        • If you have not yet placed an order, there will be additional T-shirts available

      • Big Black PCLS shopping tote – $10

    • Norah Bakery pickup 2:45-3pm at Student Parking lot East.

    • Books to Taiwan donation Event: 2:30-4:30pm at MCCC Student Parking Lot East. Do a fall cleaning and recycle your kids’ books and send them to Taiwan! Kids in Taiwan would love these! Volunteers will be collecting donated children’s English books/pictures books/etc. Books in English ONLY.

Messages from the Academic Director

  • Picture Day this Sunday. It will be cold on Sunday, so please wear weather appropriate clothes. If your child(ren) has a PCLS t-shirt, please have your child(ren) wear it.

  • Speech contest registration starts. Please register using this Speech Contest Google Form by 12/5/2021.

  • Preparation for Chinese New Year Celebration will begin soon. Please watch out for emails from your teacher.

“Year of the Tiger” Virtual Drawing Contest

Last week to submit your work for the “Year of Tiger” drawing contest!  Winners of the drawing contest will be featured in the PCLS yearbook.  Students, please complete your drawing on paper, independently at home and submit your scanned art work using this Drawing Contest Form by 11/21/2021.

“Year of the Tiger” Chinese New Year Celebration

The CNY celebration will again be held online this year. Performances will be organized by teachers as a class.  Please watch out for communication from your language / culture teachers.

You will have a chance to vote for the 1st prize of the raffle drawing.  Stay tuned for related announcements in the upcoming newsletters!
