Join us Sunday, November 9 at 3 PM in the Campus Common (cafeteria) to meet the PCLS Admin Team.

We’ll share an overview of our school operations and upcoming events for this school year. If you’re new to PCLS, this is a great opportunity to learn more and ask questions.

全美中文學校聯合總會【歌唱影片大賽】

為了提高學生學習華語的趣味性，全美中文學校聯合總會特舉辦【歌唱影片大賽】。此次活動旨在鼓勵各會員學校及華語文學習中心的學生，通過歌唱來體驗華語，並藉此展現他們的音樂才華。我們誠摯邀請各校的校長和老師們熱心支持，並積極鼓勵學生們踴躍參加這項精彩的比賽。

The National Council of Associations of Chinese Language Schools (NCACLS) is hosting a Video Singing Contest to encourage students to learn Chinese through singing and to showcase their musical talents. 當孩子邁入青春期，親子之間的對話是否越來越難？

ATANY （大紐約地區台灣校友會）特別為移民家庭設計的線上講座，邀請到台灣知名親職教育講師——澤爸，與大家一起探討【如何讓在美國成長的青少年與台灣父母之間重新建立理解與連結】

日期時間：11/08 週六早上 10:30-中午 12:00(東岸時間)

地點：線上視訊，歡迎各地台灣家庭加入，multi-tasker 友善活動

演講者：澤爸（魏瑋志），在親子天下擔任專欄作家，從台灣移居到美國兩年，有青少年年齡的孩子

ATANY (Taiwan Alumni Network of New York) is hosting a special online seminar designed for immigrant families, featuring Zeh Ba (Wei Weizhi) — a well-known parenting educator from Taiwan. Together, we will explore how to rebuild understanding and connection between Taiwanese parents and their teenagers growing up in the United States.

Date & Time: Saturday, November 8, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM (Eastern Time)

Location: Online (video conference) — Taiwanese families everywhere are welcome to join. This is a multi-tasker-friendly event!

Speaker: Zeh Ba (Wei Weizhi) — parenting columnist for CommonWealth Parenting (親子天下), who relocated from Taiwan to the United States two years ago and is also a parent of teenagers.

The speech contest is a great opportunity for our students to practice public speaking in Chinese. We will hold our 2025-2026 speech contest next month. Please find more information at the registration page.

Registration deadline: Nov 12, 2025 11:59 pm

🧧 Get Ready for 2026 LNY! Raffle Prize Donations Needed

It’s never too early to start preparing for a party! We are officially diving into the planning for our 2026 Lunar New Year (LNY) celebration.

To make our annual LNY Raffle a success and to keep everyone happy with the prize inventory, we need your help with donations.

If you’d like to donate a raffle prize:

  • Please bring it to the PCLS Admin Team on any Sunday before December 21, 2025.

A few ground rules for donations (because we love clarity):

  • Retail Value: $25 or more. (We’re aiming for prizes that make people shout!)

  • Condition: Must be NEW and UNOPENED. (No dusty relics, please.)

  • Appropriateness: Items should be suitable for the occasion and our audience.

Tax receipts are available upon request.

Deposit refund requirement: Please note that only after the parent duties are fulfilled will the deposit be refunded. To check your 2025-2026 parent duty sign ups, please click this link. Detailed parent duty instructions and information can be found in the PCLS Parent Duty Guidelines. Please make sure to sign in at the event/duty to log the completion of your duty. If any events/parent duty signups are canceled/moved, it is the family’s responsibility to fulfill another parent duty in order to receive the deposit.
