Student pick up policy

Dear PCLS Families,

At PCLS, your child’s safety is our absolute priority. Recently, we have noticed an increasing number of students remaining on campus long after classes have ended—some as late as 5:30 PM.

We want to emphasize that our pick-up policy is not about the late fees; it is about ensuring no child is ever left alone. When a student is not picked up by 5:11 PM, they face a high-risk situation:

• Lack of Supervision: Admins and teachers may not be aware a student is still in the building as they pack up to leave.

• Building Safety: A student left behind could find themselves alone in an empty building or, even worse, wander outside into the parking lot or off-campus while trying to find their parents.

Please remember our dismissal policy:

• Classes end at 5:00 PM.

• The grace period ends at 5:11 PM.

• After 5:11 PM, a late fee of $1 per minute will be applied.

We ask for your cooperation in arriving on time. Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and our community strong.

The Chinese Word Recognition Contest will be held on this Sunday, April 19, 2026. (Registration Opening now!)

Congratulations to our YoYo teacher, Kevin Lam for winning the 2nd place of the Individual Open Group at TX Diabolo competition. See the winning act here. Stay tuned for our own PCLS YoYo competition coming up on April 20, 2026.

歌唱比賽 2026 Singing Contest

 All contestants should check in at Upper Gym starting 1:20pm.

All parent helpers should arrive at 1pm.

象棋比賽 Chinese Chess Contest

Unfinished matches for middle/high school contestants will continue on April 12 after spring break.

PTA Update

Due to the postponement of the LNY event, many duties have been affected. Please check the updated list for the changes.

Deposit refund requirement: Please note that only after the parent duties are fulfilled will the deposit be refunded. To check your 2025-2026 parent duty sign ups, please click this link. Detailed parent duty instructions and information can be found in the PCLS Parent Duty Guidelines. Please make sure to sign in at the event/duty to log the completion of your duty. If any events/parent duty signups are canceled/moved, it is the family’s responsibility to fulfill another parent duty in order to receive the deposit.

戀念臺灣－海外僑民兒童或少年至校短期體驗計畫

活動報名時間預計為2026年3月23 日至4月14日，參與對象為隨家人短期返國之6至15歲之海外僑民兒童或少年（下稱體驗者），其父或母任一人具中華民國國籍，請至僑委會「僑務活動報名系統」之報名頁面（https://register.ocac.gov.tw/cht/index.php?/sign/nostalgiafortaiwan2026），點選「登入」，以體驗者之名義註冊帳號並登入後填具申請表，向僑委會提出申請。
