MESSAGES FROM ACADEMIC DIRECTOR 

打字比賽 Chinese Typing Contest

Did you know that typing in Chinese pinyin can generate many characters which use the same pinyin but have different tones and meanings? Typing Chinese characters is a fun way to learn the language. Through this process, students learn the differences in characters and meanings. We will have our virtual Chinese typing contest on February 25, 2023. More details can be found in the Typing Contest Brochure. If you have any questions, please contact me (academic@pcls.org). You must register in order to participate.

Important Dates

• Registration: Now till 9 pm February 17, 2023

• Practice period: February 18, 2023 to February 24, 2023

• 24-hour Chinese Typing Contest Period: Starts at 12 pm February 25, 2023 and ends at 12 pm February 26, 2023.

• Best score submission deadline: No later than 12:15 pm February 26, 2023.

MESSAGES FROM CULTURE DIRECTOR

ANJCS Chinese Chess Contest 紐澤西中文學校協會校際象棋比賽

PCLS will host this contest at PDS on 3/19/2023 12:00 pm ~ 4:30 pm. All PCLS students, TAs and alumni under age 18 are welcome to participate.  Registration for the ANJCS contest will be submitted by the culture director for all PCLS participants.  Maximum 4 participants per age group.

Please register here if interested. Registration deadline: 2/24/2023 (Friday). Detail rules are included in the registration form.
