打字比賽 Chinese Typing Contest
Did you know that typing in Chinese pinyin can generate many characters which use the same pinyin but have different tones and meanings? Typing Chinese characters is a fun way to learn the language. Through this process, students learn the differences in characters and meanings. We will have our virtual Chinese typing contest on February 25, 2023. More details can be found in the Typing Contest Brochure. If you have any questions, please contact me (academic@pcls.org). You must register in order to participate.

2022-2023 ANJCS Chinese Chess Contest 紐澤西中文學校協會 校際象棋比賽
PCLS will host this contest at PDS on 3/19/2023 12:00 pm ~ 4:30 pm. All PCLS students, TAs and alumni under age 18 are welcome to participate. Registration for the ANJCS contest will be submitted by the culture director for all PCLS students. Maximum 4 participants per age group.

2022-2023 ANJCS YoYo Contest 紐澤西中文學校協會 校際扯鈴比賽
The ANJCS YoYo contest will take place at Marlboro Middle School (355 County Rd 520, Marlboro, NJ 07746) on April 1, 2023 (Saturday) 9:30am – 12:00pm.

Myopia Prevention Seminar
Come and join Drs. Despotidis, Lee and Tannen on 3/5/2023 at 3:00PM in the cafeteria and learn about myopia prevention and treatments!
Myopia or nearsightedness is an increasingly prevalent condition that not only affects visual function but can increase the risk of eye diseases as one gets older. Many interventions have been shown to reduce the progression of myopia, preserving vision and reducing the risk of vision loss over time.
These vision problems can have a major impact on a child’s reading and learning ability. The eye doctors will discuss science-based treatments and prevention for vision problems that often steam from excessive screen time.
